ABOUT
US:
If you love Jesus, you are our brother or sister and we would love to
have you be with us. For those interested, an E-Calendar that we send
out monthly can be sent to you so you can see some of the things
that we do. On Friday nights we gather at the Trammell home
near Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth,
our focus is worship and loving on the Lord. From that flow He
directs what He wants to say to his church through His people.
Folks come in shifts due to work and traffic. We've always told
folks, "come when you can, leave when you have to." It's a family
environment here. Our Friday meetings are best described as a
I Corinthians 14 gathering - EVERYONE has something to give,
whether in a word of instruction, a song ~ whether it be a hymn or
the new song of the Lord, a revelation or prophetic utterance. We
believe in the New Creation of Christ where there is neither male nor
female, bond nor free, Jew nor Gentile ~ we are all heirs of
Christ. We are not under the Law, but under Grace. There
are many times that 'loving on the Lord' will manifest itself by
loving on one another through encouragement and counsel. We have
a strong foundation in the spontaneous song of the Lord and encourage
others to develop their personal relationship with the Lord so
they will feel comfortable in His presence. From each of us having a
strong relationship with Jesus, we are spiritually "healthier" and can
help those around us in their walk with the Lord. So each is
accountable to maintain their walk with Jesus and give to others as the
Lord gives to them.
Tuesday night Bible Study in Grayson is at the Murphy's home
from 7:30-9:30ish. We have been honored to have this veteran
saint, unfold the word to us. He has walked in the KINGDOM for
over 70 years, turning from the religious trappings created by man,
helping to set the hearts of men and women free all over the
world. Serving the Lord's church through the decades he has
ministered to the "kings of man" to the "pauper of
the Lord". The Father has honored the Atlanta area to allow him to come and
reside here. He is a Caleb who has taken his mountain! (You
would never know he was almost 91.) He is full of truth, power
and demonstration and we bring pen, pad and Bible every week to
soak up all we can. (He didn't know we were saying this about
him. He's quite humble.) He does desire the saints to function
and give in his meetings as well, but we usually defer to him as he is
so full..........
We
have gatherings with other House Churches in Gwinnett
County usually every 2
months on a Saturday, sometimes monthly depending on our schedules, and
then there are bi-annual gatherings on a Saturday or Sunday
usually with House Churches in other parts of North Georgia.....an even larger gathering.
Our
number ranges from 5 -15 each week for the Tuesday and Friday night
meetings. There are as many singles as married
right now ranging in age from 2-52, but that is subject to change
as the Lord brings people in and moves folks out to other
pastures. We never know when a visitor will pop in. We
began this House
Church in
1994. We are involved in local and international ministry, as well
as humanitarian aid and giving to the poor.
We are
not "affiliated", with a brick and mortar church building, i.e. an
offshoot from a larger assembly. However, we strongly
believe in tearing down walls of division in the church and loving all
of the Lord's people. We should be able to worship just as
much in a group of 2000 as we can in a group of 5, as long as the
Spirit of the Lord is given liberty to flow among His
saints. We have no animosity towards "brick and
mortar". Those are very functional buildings for larger
gatherings and other activities that may be beneficial to a community
of believers or a neighborhood. The leadership
here has been public speakers in almost every
denominational church you can think of, as well as on the international
level. Jesus lives in the heart of His people, not in a box
called a building :-)
Come join us when you can, dear saint.
